eConnectMarket

We provide an automated insurance referral program using our product eConnectMarket, designed to match Insurance Seeking consumers, who cannot find property insurance, with licensed Insurance agents and insurers who are writing new business.

Our product eConnectMarket has been used to build Florida Market Assistance Plan (FMAP) system which became operational at the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, in Tallahassee, Florida in 2005. The FMAP system can be reached at: http://www.fmap.org/

eConnectMarket is simple to use and is extremely fast and accurate.

The system allows a Consumer to solicit competitive insurance quotes for their property.
  • Consumers can create and manage a list of their properties, and provide specific information about the properties, such as the following;  amount of coverage desired;  date needed;  date built;  square footage;  dates that upgrades were applied to the roof, A/C, electrical, etc.;  construction type;  proximity to salt water and fire stations;  swimming pools;  dogs;  farming;  # of insurance claims filed;  and several other property characteristics.
When a Consumer enters their specific Insurance need, the system provides an e-mail alert of those needs as an announcement to Agents and Insurers.

The system also allows searches to be performed by a Consumer looking for property insurance or searches by Agents and Insurers looking for customers.

The agents and companies can create and manage the selection criteria for searching the properties, allowing them to select only the properties which match their target demographics. 

The system provides automated reminders that allow searchers to edit their preferences or cancel their request.

eConnectMarket verifies whether the registered agents are participating licensed agents or not.  It let’s the system administrator approve the agents through the verification of Companies or against a list of valid NAIC #s and state company codes.

Technical Information

This system is built to be very robust, scalable and flexible which can support 1500 concurrent users at the same time.

This is built with latest J2EE technologies which is XML based with WebServices to connect the backend underwriting or other insurance systems.

The database is any RDBMS. It could be SQL Server, or Oracle or any other RDBMS.

This system is Application Server Independent, which means that this system can be deployed on Weblogic, Websphere or JBoss application servers.

Currently, the FMAP system which is built with 90% of eConnectMarket, serves more than 60,000 users in Florida alone.
